An acquisition of Class F1 Education premises on the south side of Bedford Square London WC1 to accommodate clients L’Ecole Jeannine Manuel, a major French bi-lingual school.
This transaction was particularly pleasing due to the planning situation. The former occupier (long term) had been the Tribunal for driving offences – when it became available we picked up on it prior to marketing and immediately noted that “Tribunal” Use shared the then D1 Classification of D1 Education (now F1 Education). An application for a Certificate of Established Use for the education use was quickly provided (Camden more than likely seeking to avoid an Office or Residential Use) and the building made ideal for the school to occupy.
As a dedicated francophile and supporter of encouraging links between France, Europe in general and the UK, I was delighted to be involved in this acquisition and the many situations to follow that have kept me within a working relationship with the school.
