Part 36 offers are offers to settle a claim and can be made by both a claimant and defendant in a legal conflict. This relates to the section of the Civil Procedure Rules which govern court action. They are usually made ‘without prejudice except as to costs’ and are often made by solicitors as they have to comply with the strict requirements of Part 36 rules of court to be effective.
