Licence for alterations will describe the works which have been agreed by the landlord for the tenant to undertake. It will include additional covenants for the tenant to obey to if undertaking the works and could include renewing the works at lease expiry. The Licence may also include the provisions for the landlord to notify the tenant to reinstate such works including a timescale before lease expiry.
